Online Guide to Customizing your Livehelper Button

Livehelper allows its users to completely customize their users experience. Below is an overview of the steps to creating and installing a custom Livehelper button.

Step 1 - Create A Button

The default Livehelper button has a width of 100 pixels and a height of 80 pixels but you can make your button any size you want. Create 2 images, one for when your are online and another for when you are offline.  Save your images and upload it to your web site. Be sure to note the URLs and Dimensions of the buttons, as you will need them later in the process. 

Step 2 - Generate Button Code

From the Livehelper Operator Console on the Tools menu select 'Create Button'.  Select 'Customized Button with tracker' and click next.  Enter your Company ID and select the appropriate group.  In the Page ID field enter a name for the page you will be inserting the code on.  This name will be displayed on your browse list.  Click next and select 'I would like to choose Button Images'.  Fill in the text boxes with the URLs of your images and click next.  Click 'Copy All' and paste the code in to your web site.
